Once home to infamous press baron Lord Beaverbrook, Cherkley Court, in the rolling beauty of the Surrey Hills, has been revived and restored into the luxury destination it once was.
The stately homes of Britain are too often left to atrophy, and their original purpose as houses of leisure are often unable to evolve in line with modern-day tastes and public interests. Our design bought subtle integration of modern facilities and minimal external modifications to this historic site. Creating a new age of luxury to this outstanding countryside retreat.
-
conversion of the existing cottages into guest houses
-
renovation of the coach house to provide a fitness center
-
installation of an underground spa
All of the above echoes the design of the periodic agriculture buildings, with an eclectic contemporary touch.
